I spend real time mentoring engineers: helping them grow technical judgment, take ownership, communicate clearly, and move into leadership.
I’d rather build a team that doesn’t need me in every decision than be the bottleneck. I mentor across career stages, from early-career engineers to new managers.
Development beyond the workplace
Good mentorship gives people room to practice, make decisions, and learn with support. That same principle matters in community sport. Berkeley Bicycle Club’s cycling community supports junior development and rider mentorship.
